The Role
We are looking for a skilled Automotive Technician with a strong background in welding and structural repairs to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision metalwork and enjoys tackling corrosion and restoration challenges head-on.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out welding repairs on Mazda MX-5 vehicles, including sills, arches, chassis rails, and floor sections
Assess and repair corrosion damage to a high structural and cosmetic standard
Fabricate repair sections where required
Prepare and protect repaired areas to ensure long-term durability
Support general mechanical work including servicing, suspension, and brake systems
Work closely with the team on full restoration projects
Requirements
Proven experience in automotive welding (MIG welding essential)
Strong understanding of vehicle structures and corrosion repair techniques
Ability to fabricate and shape metal panels accurately
High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Full UK driving licence
Desirable Skills
Experience working on classic or enthusiast vehicles
Knowledge of Mazda MX-5 models
TIG welding or advanced fabrication skills
Paint preparation or finishing experience
