Designed to fit all Mk1 Mazda MX-5 models (1989–1998), this panel replaces the inner sill upright, the section that sits between the full-length sill panel and the floor-to-sill panel along the bottom sill lip and runs up to the door shut. Over time, this area is highly susceptible to rust, weakening the structure of the car and making it a critical point for restoration. With genuine Mazda panels no longer available, this repair section provides a high-quality, purpose-built solution for both classic car enthusiasts and professional restorers.

To make installation easier, the upper front section of the panel has been designed to be cut to fit. The original panel in this location rarely corrodes and tucks behind other panels, so this flexibility ensures a precise, clean fit while maintaining structural integrity.

Each panel is handed, so please select the correct side from the dropdown menu when ordering. Panels are sold individually; you will need one per side, or two for a full vehicle restoration.
