Rear valance / behind rear bumper repair panel – Mk3

An increasingly common corrosion point on the Mk3 models is the rear bulkhead panel behind the rear bumper and bumper support bar. This panel is poorly protected from the factory and with the bumper support bar bolted on a moisture trap is created. Most Mk3s will now have corrosion behind the support bar with more severe cases having rusted all the way through to the rear chassis rails or into the boot. This new panel developed by us, is designed to replace the most corrosion prone part of this panel.

This section is designed to be scored around and then the old section cut out. The new section can then be welded to the remaining panel and spot/plug welded to the rear chassis rail and boot floor flanges. The panel comes with the holes for the bumper support beam studs.
