High quality fully synthetic transmission oils to suit all generations of Mx5s.
Gearbox:
- For standard road use: We recommend using 2 of the MT90 Gl4*. This high quality oil provides superior lubrication at all temperatures whilst also being the correct GL4 grade means it is safe with brass synchros and allows excellent shifting hot or cold.
- For fast road/track or high power use: We recommend a mix of 1 x MT90 and 1 x lightweight shockproof oil*. This mix allows the best balance of shift quality and gear protection when the gearbox is submitted to heavy use.
Differential:
- For the the diff we recommend a bottle of the 75W-90 GL5. This offer exceptional gear protection and works well with all types of LSD fitted to Mx5s.
*These are sold in 1 quart bottles. This is more than enough for the differential. For the gearbox 2 bottles comes in slightly below the 2l Mazda specifies however the gearbox will still have more than enough oil with 2 quarts.
